Please join us to celebrate the individuals and news organisations honoured by the Women’s Empowerment (WE) Journalism Awards 2014.The Awards were developed and launched by Diageo to showcase and honour quality reporting on women’s issues, while providing a platform to inspire a future generation of journalists to further the cause.

Speakers at the lunch include Gilbert Ghostine, President of Diageo Asia Pacific, on the Awards and Plan W – Diageo’s community investment programme that aims to empower 2 million women in Asia Pacific through learning. Su-Mei Thompson, CEO of The Women’s Foundation, will talk about the power of media to positively impact societal change.

Other speakers include Denise Tsang from the South China Morning Post, winner of this year’s Print Story of the Year Award, Tara Joseph representing Aly Song of Thomson Reuters, winner of this year’s Photographer of the Year Award, and Kristie Lu Stout representing Sumnima Udas of CNN, winner of this year’s Journalist of the Year Award.
