The FCC Scholarship Fund held its annual lunch at the FCC Main Dining Room attended by 65 current and graduate scholars, members of the FCC Charity Fund and Po Leung Kuk chairman, Pollyanna Chu. This year’s guest speaker was James Ginns, Cathay Pacific director of service delivery, who inspired the FCC scholars with his professional wisdom and the personal story of his rise to the executive level at Cathay Pacific. Cathay Pacific is a major sponsor of the FCC Charity Ball, the main fundraising event of the FCC Charity Fund.
The FCC Scholarship Fund was set up in 2002 to help underprivileged children who wish to pursue tertiary education. To date, the fund has supported 162 scholarship winners through their college and university education. The graduate scholars are now working as lawyers, nurses, accountants, bankers and some are entrepreneurs running their own businesses.
