The first presidential race in some years saw Neil Western (The Wall Street Journal) defeat Francis Moriarty (freelance) at the ballot box. Western had been on the Board for five years and is the outgoing First Vice-President. Moriarty had been on the Board for more than 20 years and is the long-time co-convener and founder of the Press Freedom Committee.

The new Board: The First Vice-President is Tara Joseph (Reuters TV) and Second Vice-President is Kevin Egan (barrister).
