Speaker: Duncan Clark,
Author & Founder/Chairman, BDA China

Duncan Clark discussed his newest book, “Alibaba: The House that Jack Ma Built,”to share fresh insights about Jack’s incredible journey from humble origins in Hangzhou to his status today as an icon for entrepreneurs, within China and without. He also addressed Alibaba’s corporate strategy and the challenges it faces as it expands beyond e-commerce into finance, entertainment and beyond. As the company expands its global footprint, can Alibaba keep up its remarkable trajectory?

Clark first met Jack in 1999 in the small apartment where Jack had just founded Alibaba. Granted unprecedented access to a wealth of new material including exclusive interviews, Clark draws on his own experience as an early advisor to Alibaba and two decades in China as founder and chairman of internet advisory firm BDA China. The speaker is also a cofounder or early stage investor of a number of technology ventures including AppAnnie, Student.com and Radish Fiction.
