These 15 colourful stories are filled with losers and boozers; villains and their victims, as well as those that rise above them; and sex and drugs and crime in the underbelly of the city.

Many of these stories are based on unforgettable personalities or ordinary souls known by the author. Some tales belong to long-ago famous or notorious crimes now forgotten, but the author recreates them by painting the backdrop of the characters and their times. In other unique episodes based on true stories of private individuals, his imagination comes to the aid and fills in the factual gaps.
