A Conversation with Alain Ngalani
Mr. Ngalani is one of the world’s fastest heavyweight fighters, whose recent 11- second knockout of Hideki Sekine at a One Championship fight in Jakarta, went viral on social media. Aside from beating his opponents with lightning speed, the speaker is known for his trademark move, “The Panther High Kick.” The athlete talked about his success and failures and how he became a world champion MMA fighter.
The speaker was born in Cameroon and started learning Judo at six-years-old. He showed exceptional abilities early on by winning back-to-back junior tournaments in Cameroon and later all over Africa. His biggest influence is his mother, who wanted her boys to learn discipline and focus by channeling their energy into a sport in a positive way. The speaker has studied various martial arts styles including Shotokan Karate, Savate, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
