With many restrictions easing and tourists permitted for the first time since 2020, Hong Kong seems to be on a path toward opening up to the rest of the world, even as cases rise again. But with the territory still tethered to China’s “zero-Covid” policy that strives to eliminate the virus, the pace of reopening remains unclear. What will it take for Hong Kong to ease additional restrictions? How can the city chart a gradual return to normalcy? Who has influence in deciding these questions? The Foreign Correspondents’ Club is hosting a panel of experts to anticipate how the Covid-19 pandemic will evolve in Hong Kong over the next few months. Moderated by FCC First Vice President Hannamiina Tanninen. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
