As Hong Kong celebrates the 20th anniversary of its reunification with Mainland China and approaches the mid-point of the 50-year period of “one country, two systems” before mid-2047, one of the big questions is: How can Hong Kong continue to thrive ? Mr. Li shared his views on the above and explained how Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is positioning itself to make the most of the opportunities it sees for Hong Kong and the city’s financial services industry

Mr. Li has held his current position since January 2010. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector, including corporate and securities law practices, corporate finance and advisory services in Hong Kong, the Mainland and New York. Before he joined HKEX, Mr. Li was chairman of JP Morgan Chase China.  He obtained a BA degree from Xiamen University of China in 1984, a MA degree from the University of Alabama in 1988 and a JD degree from Columbia University School of Law in New York in 1991.
