In February, someone ordered the premeditated and brutal attack on Kevin Lau, the former editor-in-chief of Ming Pao. Weeks later, two executives of Hong Kong Morning News Media were beaten up on the street. Why are members of the press increasingly targeted in Hong Kong? Should journalists be afraid? Chan King-Cheung, Ching Cheong and Shirley Yam – all three of them highly respected journalists in Hong Kong – will join a panel discussion on these pressing issues.
