#5146 Loire, France – Domaine Eric Louis, Sauvignon Blanc 2018
Harvested from the slopes of the Loire Valley near Sancerre – we are in the homeland of Sauvignon Blanc grape. The fermented fruit was allowed to rest on the lees for four months before being bottled, adding great complexity to the wine.
Clear golden colour with emerald hue. Gorgeous floral nose with notes of fresh citrus and underlying minerality. The palate is fresh and crisp and very lively with grapefruit and gooseberry at the forefront, hints of passionfruit, finishing clean and zippy with even more citrus fruit. Delicious with salty fish and light chicken dishes, or for aperitif by itself!
